if music be the food of love, play on.

"you'll be given love
you'll be taken care of
you'll be given love
you have to trust it
maybe not from the sources
you have poured yours
maybe not from the directions
you are staring at
twist your head around
it's all around you
all is full of love
all around you..."

dreaming of angels...

- E tu? Esperas alguém?

i'm transforming,i'm vibrating....

"all of our days are numbered.we cannot afford to be idle.to act on a bad idea is better than not to act at all. because the worth of the idea never becomes apparent untill you do it.sometimes this idea can be the smallest thing in the world;a little flame that you hunch over and cup with your hand and pray will not be extinguished by all the storm that howls about.if you can hold on to that flame, great things can be constructed around it,that are massive and powerful and world changing.all held up by the tiniest of ideas(...)this shimering space where imagination and reality intersect, this is where all love and tears and joy exist.this is the place.this is where we live".

and our ashes will fly

let us lay in the sun

sweet sixteen

i was 16 and you were 22.
we fell in love
and this was our song.
we promised the world to eachother
but the world wasn't ours to promise.
you broke my heart.
so
we never got to live happily ever after.

it's halloween. let's take our masks off.

"It doesn't happen all at once - said the Skin Horse - you become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don´t matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."

pure bliss

“A few times in my life I have had moments of absolute clarity. when for a few brief seconds the silence drowns all the noise and I can feel rather than think. and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh as though it had all come into existence. I can never make these moments last. I cling to them but like everything they fade. I’ve lived my life on these moments. they pull me back to the present and I realize that everything is exactly the way it was meant to be.”

a cantar enrouqueceste mil canções feitas à toa.
inventando mil amigos, esquecendo velhos perigos.
no delírio prematuro...ainda foste forte e duro...

rain dogs

she walked the streets at nightfall, no coat, barefooted, just letting the rain soak her through. men and women, hurrying home, touched her accidentally as they rushed by. crowded streets was what she looked for. all she had to do was to slightly stretch her arm out. just enough so that she'd feel a hand rubbing against hers. through the rain the flashlights of the cars were smudged into different shades of yellow and red, sometimes interrupted by someones body under an umbrella. she didn't really like umbrellas. they covered people up. coats and shoes did too. on some nights her feet would hurt badly. some abandoned piece of glass on the sidewalk happened to be in her way. abandoned people would get in her way too, but that didn't really hurt so much. as the streets became silent and scarce she´d take a turn on a chosen street. she'd go into a dark alley. those where accidents happen. she new she'd find someone just like her. no story, no past. no words. just a soaked shadow in the rainy night with an arm stretched out so that, maybe, it would touch her hand. just a silhouette without a coat on, without an umbrella and with scars on its feet...
"will i see you tonight? on a downtown train? where every night it's just the same, oh! baby. will i see you tonight? on a downtown train? all of my dreams, they fall like rain on a downtown train..."

Deeper...

"he poured it in her ear, the idea of him on top, slowing time down to enter her, convincing her that everything would stay between them, with his back to the air and her bottom on the mattress, their motions surrounded by the smell of love and fabric softner. she wanted him behind her, a position of trust, tossing aside suspicions of what he might do behind her back and how easily he could hide who else he might be thinking of. but he did not want to look over her shoulder, he wanted to be in her eyes, moving his hips in slow-clock wise rotation, making the cold stone expression on her face crumble. she'd been wearing her countenance that way since the first day they met, after one lover refused to stay inside her and another was so indecisive, she was forced to mount the problem and dominate. but no more. and she cried because he did everything he said he would do to her but when he was finished, he did not leave."

hunger...

sleeplessly embracing
butterflies and needles
line my seamed-up join
encased in case i need it
in my stomach, for my heart
chain mail
hunger of the pine

sleeplessly embracing
yawn yearns into me
plenty more tears in the sea
and so you finally use it
bedding with me you see at night
your heart wears knight armour
hunger of the pine
i'm a female rebel
sleeplessly
embracing
you
realization grew on me
as quickly as it takes your hand
to warm the cool side of the pillow
i'm there for you, be there for me
i'll hum the song the soldiers sing
as they march outside our window
hunger of the pine
i'm a female rebel
sleeplessly
embracing you
une immense espérance a traversée la terre
une immense espérance a traversée ma peur

...and they're just clouds. they come and go...

rows and flows of angel hair
and ice cream castles in the air
and feather canyons everywhere,
i've looked at clouds that way.

but now they only block the sun,
they rain and snow on everyone.
so many things I would have done,
but clouds got in my way.

i've looked at clouds from both sides now,
from up and down and still somehow,
it's cloud's illusions I recall,
i really don't know clouds at all.

moons and junes and ferris wheels,
the dizzy dancing way that you feel
as every fairy tale comes real,
i've looked at love that way.

but now it's just another show,
you leave 'em laughing when you go
and if you care, don't let them know,
don't give yourself away.

i've looked at love from both sides now,
from give and take and still somehow,
it's love's illusions I recall,
i really don't know love at all.

tears and fears and feeling proud,
to say "I love you" right out loud.
dreams and schemes and circus crowds,
i've looked at life that way.

oh but now old friends they're acting strange,
they shake their heads, they say I've changed.
well something's lost but something's gained,
in living every day.

i've looked at life from both sides now,
from win and lose and still somehow,
it's life's illusions I recall,
i really don't know life at all.

do you want a revolution?

"i sometimes feel like an alien creature for which there is no earthly explanation. sure i have  human form, walking erect with oposing digits but my mind is upside down. i feel like a run on sentence in a punctuation crazy world and i see the world around me like a mad collective dream, an endless stream of people move like ants on the freeway. cell phones, PC's and digital displays. in money we trust, we'll find happiness, prevailing attitude. like a genetically modified, irradiated big mac that's somehow symbolic of food. morality is legislated, prisons over populated, religion is incorporated. the profit motive has permeated all activity. we pay our government to let us park on the street and war is the biggest money makers of all. we all know missile envy only comes from being small. politicians and prostitutes are comfortable together. i wonder if they talk about the strange change in the weather. this government was founded by, of and for the people but everybody feels it's like a giant open sore. they don’t represent us anymore. and blaming the president for the countries' woes is like yelling at a puppet for the way it sings. who’s the man behind the curtain pulling the strings? a billion people sitting watching their TV in a room that they call living. but as for me, I see living as loving. and since there is no loving room I sit on the grass under a tree dreaming of the way things used to be. pre-industrial revolution. which of course was before the rivers and oceans and skies were polluted. before parkinsons and mad cows and all the conveluted cacafony of bad ideas like skyscrapers and tree paper and earth rapers like monsanto and dupont had there ways as they continue to today. this was pre-us. back when the buffalo roamed and the Indian's home was the forest and god was nature and heaven was here and now. can you imagine clean water and food and air, living in community with animals and people who care? do you dare to feel responsible for every dollar you lay down? you're gonna make the rich man richer or you're gonna stand your ground? you say you want a revolution, a communal evolution, to be a part of the solution...?
Maybe I’ll be seeing you around…..”

into the wild...

little seeds...

"an idea comes - and you see it, and you hear it, and you know it...we don't do anything without an idea. so they're beautiful gifts. and i always say, you desiring an idea is like a bait on a hook - you can pull them in. and if you catch an idea that you love, that's a beautiful, beautiful day. and you write that idea down so that you won't forget it. and that idea that you caught might just be the fragment of the hole - whatever it is you're working on - but now you have even more bait. they come, more often than not, in small fragments..."

...just scatter it all in the sea.

"This garden that I built for you, that you sit in now and yearn. i will never leave it, dear, i could not bear to return and find it all untended. with the trees all bended low. this garden is our home, dear, and I got nowhere else to go. so bring it on, bring it on, every little tear, bring it on, every useless fear, bring it on, all your shattered dreams... and I'll scatter them into the sea, into the sea. the geraniums on your window sill, the carnations, dear, and the daffodil... well, they're ordinary flowers but they long for the light of your touch... and of your trembling will. ah, you're trembling still and I am trembling too. to be perfectly honest i don't know quite what else to do. so bring it on, bring it on, every neglected dream, bring it on, every little scheme, bring it on, every little fear... and I'll make them disappear. so bring it on, bring it on, every little thing, bring it on, every tiny fear, bring it on, every shattered dream... and I'll scatter them into the sea."
Nick Cave

just for now...

"getting close by going far away. going far by staying here. to the kind of place where loneliness is travelling best. leaving ill and well alone. it all fails...all fails. let the clock strike upon this resting hour. for now...for now...leaving point depair, leaving point hope. getting lot to find a way back home. getting back by letting go. make another fall in the flow of things. and death is just a breath away, but so is life. saying this, but knowing not which scares the most. for now...for now...leaving point despair, leaving point hope. whatever worry running through the veins. when you go, we go. whatever worry, raise the flair. when you're there, you're there. getting close, abandoning point home. leaving point despair. looking up from the rush of things in the point of life that is now. a point of life...for now."

on music...

"that music always round me, unceasing, unbeginning, yet   long untaught i did not hear,
but now the chorus I hear and am elated,
a tenor, strong, ascending with power and health, with glad notes of daybreak i hear,
a soprano at intervals sailing buoyantly over the tops of
immense waves,
a transparent base shuddering lusciously under and through the universe,
the triumphant tutti, the funeral wailings with sweet flutes and violins, all these i fill myself with,
i hear not the volumes of sound merely, i am moved by the   exquisite meanings,
i listen to the different voices winding in and out, striving, contending with fiery vehemence to excel each other in emotion;
i do not think the performers know themselves - but now i think begin to know them."

Walt Whitman

respira...

"i am blinding. autoluminescent. i am white heat. i am heaven sent. i was a nightmare but i'm not gonna go there, again. into the black hole, the house of no contest. make mine a meteor. rise me above the rest. i'm soaring through outer space. there is no better place to be. i'm bigger than Jesus Christ. i'm greater than God in light. i am dangerous. i cut like the sharpest knife. i'm going nova and i hope i can hold her, in. into the darkness, i gave away myself. slipped on the spiral stairs, tumbling down the well. i fell on a soft spot. i'm white heat, i'm white hot. again..."

Be not inhospitable to strangers...
